inhaled fumes from council tree spraying

This morning I was walking with my pushchair to take DD to preschool when I realised there was some kind of mini vehicle on the path behind me I moved to the side and let it pass. As I walked along I realised it was spraying the trees on the path, I couldnt cross the road as cars were parked all along once I realised what he was doing I hung back a little further but def inhaled some fumes. Should I be worried obv nothing I can do now I guess I could ring the council to find out what was being sprayed?

Oh forgot to say I am anxious because 5 weeks pg.

It depends on what they were spraying. Air bourne particles like this all come in different sizes, they need to be a certain size for them to be inhaled into the alvioli (I can't remember what it is). Your best bet is to phone them in the morning and ask them exactly what it was that they were spraying and what's in it, post it on here if you can and I'll have a look at it for you.

i bet you are fuming (please excuse the pun) but i would be soooo peed off and i would be complaining...even thought he wouldnt have known u were pg u still had dc with u xx

Poor you and your dd. Can you call your council and find out WHAT exactly they were spraying? Then ask your GP? I would definitely complain, was that idiot blind not to see you walking with a child??

Hi thanks for responses. Belle I rang the council today and was put through to the tree department but it went straight to voicemail. Hopefuly they will ring back. snigger at fuming xxkt1xx. Hopefuly whatever it was is not dangerous and thats why he was spraying it near a small child or as you say kitty maybe he was an idiot. Felt very worried as neural tube closes this week but looked in the what to expect book which suggests one off exposure to insecticides should hopefuly be ok.

It depends on what they were spraying, large molecules are not passed into the blood stream so are sneezed/ work their way out. A full break down of the components will help.

I have emailed the council asking them for a breakdown of the components. Thanks Belle
