hello all, am new here and hoping someone might know the answer to this!

I had a blood test done yesterday following a faint positive pregnancy test and then bleeding and my hcg was at 32. (at approx 4-4.5weeks) Does this sound like it could be ectopic? I have to go back the beginning of next week for another test.

This was an unplanned pregnancy (was on the pill) and I am hoping that my level will have gone down next week but I am still having achey boobs etc and don't remember how long that lasted after previous miscarriages.

can anyone help? has anyone had an ectopic and know what their hcg was that early on?

thank you.

can anyone help? i am so scared. went back to epu today and was told my hcg is at 80.1, however my womb lining is very thin and they
couldn't see anything in my womb or anywhere else. i'm convinced it's an ectopic

Hi Nina,I had the same about 2 weeks ago, faint positive and then some light bleeding. I had my blood done 3 times and it went from 17 to 70 to 164. After that they discharged me until my dating scan as they said they weren't able to accurately scan until the HCG level is around 1000. I'm not sure what it means if they say your womb lining is thin but it sounds like if your levels are doubling you're carrying on with a pregnancy at the mo. It's maybe a bit too early to see whether it's ectopic yet. If you wait a few days for your levels to go up further they should be able to scan you and get a better idea. Hope that helps x

hi bebo, thank you for your reply. what has been the outcome for you? i am just so scared my tube is going to rupture or be damaged beyond repair! it's so frustrating, i just want them to give me some medication now to end it. i am on my own here so no one to talk to which is really hard! thanks x

I'm still waiting for my dating scan at the moment. I know it's easy to say but try not to worry too much, my levels were really low to start with (by my dates I should have been around 200 when I was 17). However it may have been that we ovulated later than we've calculated so are earlier in the pregnancy than expected. If your levels keep going up I think it's likely that your pregnancy is prob normal. I know it's a nightmare to wait but if you leave it a few days and then ask for another scan they should be able to see where the baby is growing. In the mean time you could do another test to see if the line is getting darker x
