So, I'm 14 weeks pregnant and for probably the last 2 weeks weeing has felt odd.

Basically, when I sit down to go, it just trickles quite slowly out, even when I'm really desperate.

It's not like I can't go, it just seems like it's having to come down a really small tube.

If I kind of wriggle around, lean back and forward it seems to help.

Also, if I try to practise my pelvic floor exercises by holding in the wee mid flow, it's really rather painful.

So is this just the (?) urethra being a bit squished by the baby? It's ok at the mo, but what if it grows more and squishes it completely!?

Yes I'm pretty sure it's your essential weeing bits being squashed by the baby. I think this is more common with a retroverted uterus but I guess it can happen to anyone. I found that if I left it until I really needed to go it was really really difficult. My 12 week scan was an absolute nightmare because I really couldn't go for hours afterwards despite being absolutely desperate! I was really scared at one point actually.

The good news is that for me it eased off not long after 14 weeks once my womb started to rise up out of my pelvis. So the end is quite probably in sight for you.

Thanks gaelic - I kind of feel like everything is going "in" at the moment - I don't have a bump yet at all, but I do feel a bit uncomfortable when I lean over - it's like I need the womb to kind of pop out a bit to free up some space.

Will look forward to this passing, it's worse in the night when I haven't weed for ages, I feel like I"m there for ages rocking around!
