Hi all,

So apparently for the last few days I have been nesting, here was me thinking I was just getting pissed off with DP for not doing his share!

I'm 35+4 with DD2 but can't for the life of me remember doing this with DD1.

So when did you have your nesting phase and how soon before the birth?

Am I going to go sooner rather than later this time? (fingers crossed)

Not yet. I'm about 34 weeks, and really hope I start nesting soon, as I have to sort out the baby's room and wash a whole load of blankets and clothes n stuff. I'm fairly lazy at the best of times, and at the moment I can't be arsed.

Poledra · 24/02/2010 21:23

Never. I had an "idling" phase, which lasted about ooooh 38 weeks

I didn't nest at all with dd1, and am currently the world's worst housewife. So it was a bit of a surprise when nesting started with a 4am clearout of boxes we moved house with >6 years ago. I think I was around the 28 week mark, so it's a bit early.

I was truly distressed this week at the topsy-turvy state of the study and house after my lovely family had stayed for the weekend to decorate dd1's room, which is so uncharacteristic

These weren't really the responses I was looking for, I was hoping someone would say, oh a fortnight, that would suit me!

Oh well, I'll just have to wait my turn.

And I agree with poledra with my first, no nesting, just idling for a full 41 weeks!

I'm still waiting for nesting phase to kick in and my youngest is almost three.

My house is in desperate need of a nesting female too, but alas there are none to be found.

well nearly 30 weeks and still no nesting....and seeing as i have 3 dc's and never reached 35 (apparant nesting date) i think my DP got a bad deal lol ...however i did sort the shoe rack out today
