Sainsbury's pots au chocolat - raw egg?

I got two pots au chocolat in Sainsbury's this evening, reduced from £2.29 to 68p. I have got home and it occurs to me they might contain raw egg- I would steer clear of a pudding like this in a restaurant, but I am kind of hoping that supermarket ones would use pasteurised egg. It doesn't say anything on the packet other than it contains egg. DH wants you to tell me not to eat it so that there'll be all the more for him, but I'm not giving in without a fight... BTW I'm not generally too fussy about sticking to all the rules, but I'd rather not have raw egg.

The Waitrose ones I scoffed today had pasteurised raw egg in them.

Read the packet if your DH hasn't hidden it

hey Soupy, your not having another secret baby dragon are you?

Emster30 · 23/02/2010 21:13

It doesn't say anything about whether the eggs are raw or pasteurised... but if the Waitrose ones are I imagine it's OK!

Dear god no.

At least I damn well hope not!

I think they have to say if it's unpasteurised raw egg.

BabyDragon starts school in September you know. [sigh]

She didn't like her Pot au Chocolat so I had to finish it. Hence the fat belly.

jeez really?

SoupDragon · 23/02/2010 21:22

Me too!

Pots au chocolat are wasted on the under 20s.
