Heart rate - telling the sex of the baby

What's the heart rate thing again? Is it 135 or under is a boy? I'm term +9 btw

i read under 140 is boy...so along the same lines as you.

my consultant did many studies on this topic and a number of other topics too (morning sickness, size/shape of bump etc) and said there is no statistical proof.....just down to chance. Heart beat variances are thought likely to be whether the baby is asleep, just woken up, feeling active etc rather than whether it is a boy or girl...

Heart rate for ds was always around 140-150 - he was a boy.

i have a different method....if it shounds like a train its a boy and if it sounds like a horse galloping its a girl...not proven but i am on my 4th baby and all have been correct xx

DS was above 150, DD was under 140. This is the opposite of what it is "meant" to be.

At my 16 week check last week we told the midwife the sex of our DS (had a sexing scan the day before) and she said she could always tell if the baby was a boy as they seem to 'plod along' wherea's girls don't. Make of that what you will lol!

it's complete twaddle & is how I first realised my midwife was dim.

I was in hospital for 6 weeks before DS was born and I was monitored every day. It was a ward game to see if we could tell if we were having boys or girls. DS' heart rate varied from 130 to 150 odd and so did every one elses and nearly of use had boys.
