Hello Girlies....Yummy Mummies!!

I am a mummy to be with my first baby...on the way and due on the 6 of August.....I am nearly 17 weeks by end of this week, feeling so excited...but so worried too...scared...

I might sound not normal but I am really worried about my weight...and gaining a lot on and never be able to loose it...also most of my friends are career women and not ready for babies, don't talk about them and don't plan to have them....I feel scared that after having a baby I will loose contact with them...I know if they are true friends they will be around...but dont wanna become one of these crazy BABY TALK mother...

I am hoping to meet some nice, genuine girls on this forums and maybe even we can all meet for teas or ( none ) coffees.... would be nice to have people who are going /went through the same thing...

Anyone here due in August?

love xx

its so exciting isnt? Did you feel baby moving yet? I have my 20 week scan in 3,5 weeks, I love the scans...

have you seen this programme...One born every minute? I have been watching that...but its bit scary....I was told not to think about labour until 36 weeks....;-)

As long as I cope better than that woman last week.... I shouldn't be cruel as I've never been through labour yet, but I was just thinking the whole time pull yourself together a bit!!!

Hi, due 3rd august, was completely freaked out about childbirth but am now managing to focus on the baby at the end of it rather than the day of agony. I find that turning the tv over every time an ad for One Born Every Minute comes on also helps.
My DH works in documentaries and says that they only show the most dramatic painful births as it makes good tv.
However have decided that as much pain relief as possible is going to be the way forward.

Hi Ladies
I am due on 25th August- its also my first one and I'm excited but nervous! I agree with turning over whenever an ad for One Born Every Minuite comes on-too soon to scare myself yet! ! I did end up transfixed by a program about homebirths on discovery channnel the other day though!

Hi all, I'm due 7th August, first one. I'm trying to convince myself to be all happy and relaxed about everything and I can now even watch a whole episode of One Born Every Minute without holding a cushion in front of my face .

On the weight thing, I now weigh more than my DH which I found rather depressing, cheered myself up by making a cake!

I've had my second scan this week and was told my baby is due on 06/08! I even found out I am having a boy! I still worry about the next scans to come... Impossible not to feel anxious as it is my first pregnancy! Can you feel your baby's movement yet?
