Is there anything that can be done for rib pain in pregancy from an old broken rib?

Would really appreciate some advice if anyone's been through this. I've been suffering from really bad rib pain mainly at nights. I broke my one of my left hand side ribs nearly 2 years ago (and have a slightly bumpy raised rib now - very sexy). This hasn't bothered me since it healed but now at 25 weeks it's become horrible.

I know that you can get rib pain in pregancy especially if you're a shortie (I'm 5 foot).

It comes and goes through the day but is really bad when I go to bed to the point that I haven't been able to sleep very well at all for a week now and am getting soooo tired and worn out. I've tried a parcetamol but that only helped for a little bit but then I woke up 45 minutes later still in pain (and I know that you can only take parcetamol sparingly).

I had my midwife appointment this morning and she is referring me for physio but is there anything else I can do whilst waiting for the appointment to come though? I'm now trying to pop myself up with pillows and use a wheat bag.

I normally don't regard myself as a wuss but it's now really getting me down - does anyone have any helpful suggestions?

Thanks so much!

Definitely go and see an osteopath You will have to pay but you might get someone to see you as soon as today and then you can have a lovely weekend
