Well congratulations

Do you know when you're due? If you look in the Antenatal Clubs topic, you'll find a load of people due round the same time as you

Do you have support from family?

Congratulations. You can ask anything here and probably find someone who has experienced the same thing and can advise or empathise. Practically speaking, go to your GP and ask to be booked in for a midwife appointment, start taking folic acid asap or a general pregnancy vitamin supplement (extra iron is also a good idea), and google for tips about things like what foods to avoid and all that.

When you go to the midwife you get given lots of leaflets and information about financial support you can claim too.

The first thing you need to consider is your health and that of your baby. Ring your GP practice and see if they like you to see a GP first then be referred to the midwife or if they'll just book you an appointment with the midwife. You need an appointment asap because the circumstances in which you've become pregnant do leave you more than usually open to the possibility of contrac ting a sexually transmitted infection.

Then when you've got health sorted you can consider your housing situation and finance - do you have a job - what maternity leave will you get etc.

Good luck
