Numb patch on bump

Hi All, I've had a wierd patch of numbness on one side of my bump for the last 2/3 days. Its really starting to bug me now, I've accidently scratched it a couple of times not realising i had and this morning I woke up in a cold sweat over it and couldn't get back to sleep
I think I'll call the midwife this morning but was wondering if anyone else had experienced anything similar?
I've had the usual pins and needles and numb extremities but this I didn't expect.
My mum says its just the baby lying on a nerve...but its a pretty specific area...any ideas?

I am the same and I have bumped and scratched my bump and not realised I did it either. Am 41+ weeks atm and I can hardly feel any of the front of my stomach, it's all numb and I take it it's just as the skin is soooo stretched, and it also itches now too! It was my MW who noticed I'd scratched it and she didn't seem too concerned.
I'd call midwife just to check but I did have it in one spot for a while, but as I have grown so has the numbness.

your mum might be right. i had it and it used to stop me from walking. it will pass.
