Maternity vs oversized

Does everyone wear maternity clothes or do you just wear smock tops with leggings or empire line dresses as there's not much in the way of fashion?

I only have 2 pairs of maternity jeans, the rest of my clothes are 'normal' clothes. Luckily this winter oversized jumpers have been in so i've been living in them, and added bonus of getting to wear them after the baby is born. I'm quite short anyway and i always buy petite but instead have been buying the regular length ones which have worked out well.
I also have loads of little dresses which are stretchy so been wearing them lots with maternity tights, been fab for when bump wasnt properly showing, and now hug it really nicely and show bump off.

Probably a mix of both. Earlier on you may want to look pregnant, rather than just fat, and then maternity clothes are better. And for some of us there is no way on god's green earth that oversize clothes can fit in the last trimester!

I ended up in maternity trousers fairly early on - I bulge fast - but could wear most of my few dresses and quite a few of my tops all the way through, tho I did buy tops as well. In my first pgcy I bought loads of knickers, and used them in my 2nd pgcy, but completely forgot about them in my 3rd.

So far (31 weeks), I am wearing leggings and stretchy skirts (which go under bump) with smocks/ loose tops, or stretchy dresses with leggings. Basically leggings every day - some normal (under bump) and sometimes maternity (over bump).

I tried maternity trousers and jeans but they didn't seem to fit me right and were uncomfortable (I'm sure you can get good ones if you're willing to pay a bit more though).

In the house I have been wearing a lot of jogging bottoms and hoodies from Uniqlo.

Don't you find during the first trimester that you feel more gross?

How do you look fashionable when pregnant?

Maternity trousers = no good!

I got two pairs of maternity trousers, one from New Look and one from Debenhams. Both are completely rubbish at actually doing anything with my bump, which is what they are meant to do, they both just fall down over the bump, but fit nicely in the leg.

To be honest, I'm 38 weeks and I'm still wearing my normal jeans, except I don't button or zip them up, I wear a belt to hold them up and a bump band to cover this fact

As for tops, I am just wearing floaty tops or band t-shirts and at times I am cheeky enough to wear my normal size 10 or 12 t-shirts as they are quite stretchy!

In the past week or so I've started to wear sweat bottoms as they are just much more comfy than jeans.

There's no right or wrong, just wear whatever feels most comfortable to you.
