Would love to know how people found these. They're certainly a bit pricey for the limited time they run for. Could see them working well and not; my ds is 3. Thanks.

They help build a new support network. It can be quite lonely being at home when everyone else is off at work and having a few friends in the same boat can help.

Whether you need the classes or not I don't know. Do you local NCT offer Bumps & Baby Groups you could join instead or is this all they have?

I have looked at these, really as a way of meeting new people in a new area. Do you know how much they cost roughly?

I did them (twice) but only because we moved areas during my pregnancies and it was a useful way of making a new set of friends. However, my second refresher was not so good as the women there came from a huge area, so we've barely met altogether since although I have kept up with one of them as she lives just round the corner. To be honest the local NCT bumps and babes coffee groups have been better.

The first refresher course WAS helpful however because I'd had quite a traumatic first delivery and it was useful to debrief and think about how the 'cascade of intervention' could have been averted - which did mean that I was much better prepared second time round.
