Fed up at 34 weeks!

Hi there

I'll admit from the off that this post is just a moan.

I'm 34+3 with DC2 - already have 4yo DD.

I'm booked for an ELCS 5 weeks today, but am feeling really fed up at the moment.

Think it's a combination of being heavily pg,DD having nasty cough so awake half the night, miserable grey weather and just feeling bogged down by the routine. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I have mw appt at lunchtime and will see if baby is still lying vertically as has been the case til now - I don't think she's moved. If so, think I might have to drag DD to hospital for scan to check, so feeling miserable about that too.

Anyway, sorry for the boring, self pity. I will no doubt snap out of it soon!

Hello messy little monkey!
You moan away...that's what we're here for!
Good luck next month!

Thanks!

I know full well that we all feel like this towards the end.

Been to see mw. She has looked after me from the beginning but has so many 'ladies' that there is no real relationship/bond with her. She asks me the same questions each visit to which I give the same replies - I just find it a bit frustrating.

My BP has been slowly creeping up in the last few weeks. This happened with my last pg too. It's not classed as high yet, but I have to go back to mw next week instead of in a fortnight for a re-check. Seems that LO is in a breech rather then transverse position, but she didn't seem bothered. Said it has plenty of time to turn.

I think I'd forgotten what these last few weeks are like, when things start to get a bit much!

Still

I remember getting mine to turn from breach at 36 weeks...she hadn't engaged and so I spent the evening on all fours wriggling about..oh my god..I will NEVER forget that feeling when she turned...bizarre!!! She was easily controlled then! xx

I'M FED UP TOO!!!!

I'm 32 weeks now, it's killing to walk, all I wanna do is sleep, as not sleeping too well at night due to horrendous heartburn!!

Theres so much left to do in the house but I have NO energy to do it. Have been waiting fo that surge of energy that I had around this time in my first pregnancy - but it's nowhere to be found!!

This is definitely my last baby!!!

So you are not alone!!

BellsOnHerToes · 16/02/2010 15:12

Hi messylittlemonkey,

You are not alone! I'm also 34 weeks - although first timer so I don't even have the excuse of having to look after a little one - but I'm also a bit fed up! I'm suffering from pelvic pain which is making moving around lots of fun - not!! Also went to see MW today and baby has been measuring on the small side for over a month now so she's booked me in for a scan this afternoon! So all in all I'm also feeling a bit miserable and will happily stand with you for a bit of self pitying on this grey and rainy Tuesday!!

What a sorry lot we are!

Not long now, eh? Good luck to everyone and thanks for the supportive words!

messy - i'm also 34+3 and trying to get bits finished off for finishing work (last meeting next wendesday - yay!).

combined with evening pains (not sure why) and feeling as big and as uncomfortable as a house, i know where you're coming from. ds (2.4) is up all night with teething and i can't get back to sleep past 4am. mind you, am sure that sleep will seem a distant memory in a few weeks

congrats by the way!
