Just wondering if any of you can help
Had my 12wk scan, in my area they offer the dating scan not the nuchal.Been told i can do the triple blood test will they access the risks from just the blood test .By the time i can have the blood test i will be 16wks.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I think that basically if the triple tests come back as high risk then they would offer you further diagnostic testing, maybe a CVS or amnio?

Are you particularly concerned about your risk level, if so could you afford a private nuchal/ blood test, these can be done from about 11 to 13.6 weeks I think.

Yes, you get the blood test at 15/16 weeks usually I think. When the results come back they will give you an idea of how 'likely' it is that your child would be born with a condition tested for. EG: 1/10,000 or 1/200 etc.

If you were considered high risk the only way to find out for sure afaik is to have an amniocintethis (sp) which carries a risk of miscarriage I think.
