I'm really freaked out by my early scan at 6.5weeks

Had an early scan this morning (got two DCs already and had 4 MCs so scan was for reassurance), had no bleeding or anything so not expecting any problems. The embryo was measuring exactly as it should for dates (7mm) could see a faint heartbeat however there was a blood clot near to the embryo so now I am freaking out Has anyone else had this? No-one could tell me whether this was significant or not.

I'm afraid I can't offer any helpful advice as have no experience of this. I'm going for a 6 week scan tomorrow so really feeling your worry. Really hope it turns out to be nothing signicant and hope others can offer some useful information about this for you x

hi ya i had early scans 4 bleeding and was told by the midwife tht its possible 2 have blood clots in the womb and some can be quite big...she said they normally drain off over time. if it was significant im sure they would have told u, especially after previous miscarriages. try nt 2 worry. jen. xx
