Should I be worried?

Okay, I know loads of us will be having lots of random symptoms, but this one is concering me a bit - every so often I get a really sharp jabbing pain on my right hand side, slighlty lower down and about 2 inches to the right of my belly button. It doesn't last long and has happened maybe a dozen times. I'm 6weeks +5days - is this anything I should be worried about??

I had those pains as a first timer and was told it was the ligaments .... forget what the ligaments were doing but everything was ok and dd1 is now 15 and bigger than me so I didn't need to worry and I guess you don't either. Not about that anyway.

If warmth makes it go away (hot water bottle) then it's usual aches and pains associated with pg, eg implantation pain or ligaments stretching. In fact I had twinges nearly every day in the first trimester with all of mine. You can also get urine and vaginal infections in early pg that give pain too - if you get pain on weeing or a change in odour get it investigated. If the pain increases, becomes persistent & not eased by warmth or combined with a bright red bleed then you ought to seek medical advice. Ought to add I had persistent pain and a bleed but all was fine.

The pains are too quick for me to have tried heat, come and go very quickly. Feels a bit like trapped wind but, much to DH's dismay, it's not that!
