headaches for the last week!

I am 15 weeks. Not serious headaches, but nagging headaches. They go with painkillers but every morning I wake up with a headache.
I have high blood pressure, I went to the doctors on wednesday and it was 158/98 she told me the midwife would call, which she did this morning only to tell me to have it checked next friday afternoon so a week away.

does anyone know are headaches a sign of a problem with blood pressure? I HAVE had preeclampsia twice (possible three times) before BUT I know that I am too earlu for that to really be a major concern at the moment.

any experiences? is this just a normal pregnancy complaint?

When you say you have a problem with Bp normally, do you mean you are on meds for that?
At 158/98 your Bp is not perilously high but I would not want to see it carry on as high as that for any length of time.
Your headaches might be related to the BP but headaches in pregnancy seem to be fairly common , I have been having headaches everyday for weeks and am having to take paracetamol every day to prevent them developing into migraines.
If you are concerned i would suggest getting back in touch with the midwife to discuss.

you need to contact your midwife or GP today, if you already have hgh BP.

santabringmeababy I normally have a totally normal blood pressure its just as soon as I get pregnant it goes up. I was on medication in my second pregnancy but didnt need it in my last, my blood pressure in my last pregnancy was around what it is now and didnt go any higher until right at the end when they just induced me. I have a feeling it wouldnt be so high at home to be honest! I am leaning towards saying the headaches are a normal pregnancy symptom now!.
when I think about it with my first and second childre my blood pressure was ALOT higher than it is now and I had no idea I felt fine
