Nagging abdominal pain

Am 6 wks pg today, and for last few days have had a grumbling pain - not severe, just nagging - in one spot. It's on the left side, exactly level with my belly button but a couple of inches to the left. Should I be ringing dr etc?

Abdo pain is common in early pg, uterus and ligaments stretch and so on, so it's probably nothing to worry about (and sounds a bit high up to be uterus - are you constipated or windy at all?) - but wouldn't hurt to get it checked out.
If you have any of the symptoms of ectopic pg though, get seen quick smart.
Congratulations on your pg!

i had similar at about 8 weeks - it was supposedly everything stretching/hormones as puddock says.

Thank you - sure you're right, but since I only mc'd 2 weeks before conceiving this one I'm a bit freaked out.

And more so since I phoned my EPU to see what they thought (hadn't had any replies yet so just wanted to ask a quick question) and they booked me for a scan this morning! They're normally not v forthcoming with scans so it's a bit unnerving...

At 6+1, do I have any realistic chance of seeing a heartbeat?

Congratulations - you may not see a heartbeat at this age (sometimes you do, sometimes you dont, it does not mean anything is wrong but it is just the gestational age) but you should see the sac and that the pregnancy is in the right place. The scan should give you a better idea of date and put your mind at rest.

Good luck. Let us know how you get on.

OK, sonographer says is not ectopic, is in right place, and she can see yolk sac and cavity.

No HB or embryo, but she seemed to think that was normal and also that I am less than six weeks (so maybe I conceived later than I thought). Back in two weeks for follow-up scan.

Was relieved for about two minutes, now wondering whether it looks small because has stopped growing and so on...

Sht sht sh*t, just wiped and found some brown blood.

And I was telling myself only y'day that I might be worried but at least I wasn't bleeding

Could the internal scan have been anything to do with this, do you think?

Keep thinking I can't do this, I can't miscarry two months running, but I know I haven't the slightest f**king choice about it.

I want to scream.

Sorry to hear about the blood. Brown blood is usually old blood and medical staff will generally tell you not to worry about it. An internal scan is not dangerous and cannot cause miscarriage, believe me I had 5 of them at the beginning of my pregnancy and asked the same question each time!

If you are earlier than you thought it could be an implantation bleed?

If it gets worse then call the EPU again.

Thinking of you.
