Morning sickness stopped very suddenly - normal?

Hi,

I'm 10.5 weeks and for the last 6 wks have been feeling really absolutely rubbish with morning sickness all day every day with a brief respite for a couple of hours some evenings. Haven't actually been throwing up but just really really nauseous, some days not been able to get out of bed.

However, this morning woke up full of the joys of spring with not a sign of sickness. Is it normal for pregnancy nausea to stop so suddenly or should I be worried?

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I think it's normal for some pregnancy signs to disappear after the initial whoomph. It's a while ago, but I remember this because I miscarried three times so I was always in tears with happiness over vomiting and painful breasts and worried very much when "symptoms" started to fade. I don't think you need to worry -- wouldn't you have a scan in a week or so anyway?

I don't have personal experience of it, but it is a question that I've seen asked frequently on here, so it must be happening to quite a lot of people.

It has happened to me, with no ill-effects on the pregnancy. You may find that the morning sickness comes back in a few days, or it may not. Enjoy the nausea-free time!

Thanks everyone - it's reassuring to know that it's not unusual! I have been really enjoying not feeling ill - couldn't stop singing yesterday while catching up with the long overdue housework that I couldn't face up til now!!

It's just we've waited so long for this pregnancy I can't help feeling anxious over the slightest little twinge or symptom. I know worrying won't effect the outcome but it's hard not too when it means so much!
A little bit of reassurance goes a long way though so thanks guys

Hi Boostar

I am 9 weeks into my second pregnancy and have horrendous morning sickness - sometimes I cannot leave the house as I am feeling so rough.

However, sometimes I get a 'day off' when I feel absolutely normal and I think everything has gone wrong.

For example yesterday I felt fine and not pregnant in the slightest, but today I feel worse than ever and want to lay down and die.

Ah the joys!
