No never have done and I have known for all 4.

Had another scan yesterday and even we could see DS was a DS.

Yes I have. Found out last week we are expecting a little girl, but we are keeping the boys name we picked just incase. Fingers crossed we wont be needing it x

I have never know the gender from a scan partly because I have two up-close experience with errors having been made.

My dsil was told that she was expecting a ds and didn't choose a girl's name until a few hours after her surprise dd4 was born. She didn't mind but her ds was rather disappointed after having been told he was going to have a brother at last.

A close friend was told that she was expecting a dd. Ordinarily she would have been delighted with either but everything she owned was girly and she really grieved for the 'loss' of her little girl. This was likely compounded by the subsequent births of ds2, ds3 and ds4...

With ds we were told we were having a boy and it still took us a day to name him after he was born

shhhh · 09/02/2010 14:25

yes, but they were right both times.

HaveToWearHeels · 09/02/2010 14:35

we had one boys name and one girls name before 20 week scan. When we knew it was a girl we named her straight away. They were right so never used boys name.

colie · 09/02/2010 15:09

I have a girls name that I love and I picked it and Dh agreed with it ( before the 20 week scan. We have been told it is a boy but I will believe it when I see it. As yet we still can't decided on a boys name we both like.

So, if sonographer is wronge we are fine as have a girls name. If sonograher is right we don't have a name for the baby.

No but I had a CVS so she is definitely a girl! Didn't have a girls name picked when I had DS though either.
