Trousers for short girl with wide bum

Need some advice on where to get some trousers that don't make me look the size of an ox.
I'm only 5ft 2 and normally around size 10-12 although now fitting maternity clothes 12-14.
Have always been pretty heavy on bum and thighs and most of the trousers I've found are of the skinny style - which look dreadful on me and are very uncomfortable.
I don't have lots of spare cash but need something to see me through the next few months at work.
Please help!

To counteract the bum, flares

To help with tops, try to get tops that cover up to your hip, anything shorter than that and the bum looks massive.

Top shop do some nice maternity trousers in different lengths. They do flared jeans and bootcuts which would be perfect to counteract a wide bum.
Good luck.

I'm about the same height as you and have given up on trousers and mostly wear dresses, for me they're far more flattering.

I got some decent ones from H&M, but had to have them altered to the right length (didn't cost much, and worth it for a good fit).

Try Blooming Marvellous too

I forgot to say, how about tunics and leggings, they're comfy too .

For my first pregnancy I bought a pair of black roll top, wide leg maternity trousers from Next. They were less than £20, made out of something stretchy so no ironing needed and unrolled they come up to my neck so I fold them down right over my thighs to hide the pear shape I have. I've worn them throughout this pregnancy too - mainly to work and they are super comfy. Don't know if Next still make them but there must be equivalents out there...

I've got the Next black maternity trousers that are £35 (there's only one style at that price at the mo I think) and they're really good. They're stretchy all over, plus they've got pocket panels of stretch at the front, then normal waistband and fastenings elsewhere and those elastic things inside that you can use to make the waist smaller or larger as you want. They're a bootcut sort of shape and they come in a few different lengths (I have got longer length and I am only 5' 7" so I think Next trousers tend towards the shorter end anyway).
