Please help me diagnose this bumpy rash

I'm 11 weeks pregnant and a bit more paranoid about health issues than normal and I was wondering if anyone can help me find out what this is.

On Thursday I found a small red bumpy/blistery area on my bum cheek . Since then it has got worse. Now the pain is spreading and the area is very red and warm. It doesn't look like a spot or boil because it is and area of whit raised bumps/blisters that are very sore to touch.

Has anyone any experience of what this can be.

TIA

If it's warm to the touch it could be an infection - something like a tiny ingrowing hair folicle can cause this. It's probably not pregnancy related but definately go and get it checked out. Antibiotics will sort you out quickly xxx

Have you had chickenpox before? It could possibly be shingles. If if is, it's not harmful to the baby.

There is a picture here

And NHS on shingles in pregnancy here

I would try to see a GP, TBH, just to put your mind at rest. And try not to google it yourself!

Shingles?

wow, thanks for the messages.

I have had chicken pox before. A bit more info - the bumpy area is yellowy and raised and about the size of a 50p. Then there is a large red area all round this which is painful. TBH the whole bum cheek is starting to hurt today.

Or maybe could be impetigo? Picture here

It's a bit tricky diagnosing rashes over the internet! If it's painful and getting worse I would try to see someone today.
