Pregnancy

Talk about every stage of pregnancy, from early symptoms to preparing for birth.

Any reassurance? Just pregnant, early symptoms fading already. Did anyone experience this? Worried its another m/c

In my first pregnancy (which gave us ds) I had sore boobs from about a week before I tested, and they stayed sore every day. No other early symptoms.

TTC #2 was difficult and first round of IVF resulted in a pregnancy with almost no symptoms, and m/c at 8 weeks. Now it's the second round of IVF, have had a positive test, and symptoms like my first pregnancy, but they have faded over the last 2 days. I did another home test, and it was positive (and a darker line than the last one from 4 days ago). It's all very early, just 4.5 weeks, but did anyone have fading symptoms and still go on to have a full term pregnancy? Am desperately trying to find something to hang my hopes on. Can't afford any more IVF if this fails.

mamachris please dont stress too much. the chances are you have not mc. at 4.5 weeks most people dont even have symptoms.

if you have had ivf can you not ask for the blood tests to check the hormone levels are rising?

fingers crossed everything is ok for you

Thanks just1. The clinic just do one test at 15 days post egg collection (that was a good result - 185), then they scan at 7 weeks. But it's a good idea, I will call and ask if they'll take more blood.

im sure your fine, but i can completely understand how you feel. any pg after mc is nerve wracking, but im sure having ivf and knowing it may be your final attempt must be unbearable.

will keep fingers crossed. let me know how you get on.

I spoke to clinic. They could do a test on Monday (no one in the lab till then), but nurse said to be aware it may not be conclusive - levels can keep rising even if something's wrong, or not rise as quickly as expected and everything may still be fine. She said best would be to wait until the 7 week scan, but if I wanted to show up Monday, they would do the test. Guess I'll need to try not to think about it over the weekend... somehow!

Thanks for your kind support.

MamaChris, I can totally empathise with how you are feeling. I am at the same stage of pregnancy as you, having conceived via IUI. I have not really had any symptoms yet and can't help but worry that something is amiss. That is without your experience of mc to add to the fears.

I keep reading that everyone is different and each pregnancy is different. No symptoms, lots of symptoms or symptoms coming and going are all within the normal spectrum.

Hang in there

thanks ellabella2. you too. it's tough, this bit, eh?

^ it is isn't it. I thought that getting to the BFP stage was hard enough, with all the waiting. But it seems the waiting just continues. . . .

Indeed it does ellabella2! How are you holding up? I wouldn't be too worried not to have any symptoms, many people don't this early on. I was scared because I had some that disappeared, but have since had a brief return for a few hours on Saturday night, so am trying to stay positive.

I am also in the very early stages - about 5 1/2 weeks (they are still trying to work out how far along I am as my periods are irregular due to PCOS). I have had very few symptoms. I have had sore boobs but this comes and goes. My doctor told me that many women experience very few symptoms so early on so try not to worry too much (easier said than done, I know!). I have been worrying too and am due to have another scan on Thursday. It just seems to be an endless array of things to worry about and wait for at the moment! Can't seem to concentrate on anything else. Hope it all goes well for you.
