pregnant after m/c and not sure on dates????

Hello everyone,
I have just found out im pregnant again after my 2nd m/c in dec. I am not sure how far gone i am as i lost the baby on the 12th dec bleed until the 19th then stopped for a day and bleed again until the 22nd.
I then had a scan on the 23rd to comfirm i had lost the baby. I would of been 7wks.
I had no other bleeding until the 16th of jan for 2 days and then brown spotting 2 days later for a day! Confusing hey!!!
I then done a pregnancy test on the 22nd of jan and had light positive. Since then i have done 4 other tests and the all say positive.
I went to the epu because i had cramping yesterday and they said it would be to early to do a scan but decided to feel my belly.
The doctor then called the nurse in and needed to do an internal!
I sarted to get worried buy that point and asked what was wrong!
She said she thought i was between 6 - 8weeks pregnant and couldnt work out how if i only m/c in dec!
I have a scan booked in for monday now,
Im not too sure now if i lost the baby last time or If i have twins now which makes me feel more far gone and am only 4 weeks? or not sure????????

I had a miscarriage last year, but was still testing positive four weeks after the event.

I've been no help at all, but will come back to the thread on Monday to see how you got on,

charlii - I don't have any advice, apart from try to relax & wait for the scan. I had an early m/c beg Sept & was advised to do a test after a week, it was negative. I ended up conceiving the week after my m/c. I was pretty sure of my dates only because I know I had sex once since the m/c before testing positive 3 weeks later. When I saw the m/w she was concerned I hadn't actually m/c originally & sent me for a scan straight away but the dates were as I thought. You must be feeling really confused now, hopefully monday will come round quickly for you.

Charlii - Firstly congratulations on your new pregnancy. Just so you know, you count the first day of bleeding from the miscarriage as the equivalent to the first day of Last Menstral Period. Therefore you would be considered as 7 weeks pregnant now, using the date of the 12th December. This date will stay unless the dating scan shows it to be out by much, but given your other information, it looks like it is about right, with a slight implantation bleed on 16th Jan. I found it hard having the miscarriage date as your LMP date for your next pregnancy, but my wonderful ds2 was perfect.

Hello everyone,
Been up al night with slight pains in lower left side on tummy and down left leg. Not very bad but did keep me awake all night!
Then got up this morning and when wiped after going toilet had very little spotting.
Getting very worried now, got scan tomorrow so will find out what happening then!
The pain has gone but still spotting, only very little.
Any one know whats going on??????????

Not sure what to say Charlii, just take it easy and hopefully the scan tomorrow is good.

Hey,
When to hospital today and had scan.
Been told there is a pregnancy there but looks like maybe a little blood in the sac so could be threatened m/c or it could just be early pregnancy.
Had bloods taken today and get results at 3pm and will then find out whats next??? Might have to go in for more bloods wed and then another scan in 10 - 14 days.
Trying not to feel to sad and keep a smile on. Fingers crossed xx

Also found a cysit on one ovary, its got bigger since i had the last scan in dec but doctor seemed that she couldnt be bother to talk about it!!
Want to go private now!!! Had enough of then NHS!!!!

hi charlii i went thru the same thing when i had early bleeding...i was told tht because i had a history of m/c tht i was more than likely havin another. i was told at a scan at 6 wks tht there was a sac but it could just b a sac of blood. i had the blood tests and 2 my complete shock the hormone levels doubled and then doubled again. im now nearly 27 wks and everything is fine...hope this helps...try 2 stay positive. good luck.jen. xxxx

Thanks Jen. That gives me hope so ill keep positive. Im waiting for the epu to ring back now with results, cant stand it when u are just waiting. I need to know whats going on!
