Hi just looking for some advice i am 13+6,had my scan on Monday they said all was ok.On wednesday evening stared to bleed not lots but you could see blood on pad since then i have just a very light spotting bleed when i wipe all so have some cramp pains, also my sickness seems to have dissaperared .Phoned my midwife yesterday morning who suggested i come a see her so she could listen in with a doppler she could not find a heartbeat so now i am devastated as i am convinced it has gone wrong will hopefully get the answers i need this afternoon as i have to go to the EPU,but that seems a life time away.

Couldn't see this and not post. No expert but my MW won't check a heartbeat before 20 weeks as it's VERY common not to be able to find one apparently. The EPU will be able to clarify the situation but didn't want you sitting there feeling there was no hope. All the best for this afternoon.

i had bleeding from wk 12+3 up until wk 17.
with mild cramps/back pain.

had scan in hospital and they found heartbeat and bascically they told me to monitor the bleeding and to come straight back in if i had bright red bleeding like a heavy period.

im now nearly 20 weeks and bleeding has stopped, my consultant at 16 week thought the bleeding might have been from a low lying placenta.
it was such a worrying time for me and im still anxious even though everything is ok now.
but i know there can be other reason for bleeding which aren't always a sign that pg is over, cervical erosion etc..
hope all goes well for you today at EPU

Told at the EPU that everything was fine heartbeat and baby growing ok.Was a real shock as i was sure it had all gone wrong.Still had some bleeding over the weekend so still feeling really nervous.

Glad you got good news I know it's so easy to worry, but plenty of people have some bleeding/spotting and go on to have healthy pregnancies. Are the hospital/EPU going to keep monitoring you?
