Hello ladies,
That thread really did save my sanity while getting pregnant straight after MMC. Now time is nearing for us to pop (and I think some have popped already- Jardins?).

I know we never did the whole list of EDD's etc but would love some updates as I am still too much of a wimp (and its a little late now) to join the due Feb 2010 thread!

Anyhow I am due this friday and going a little bit bonkers with the waiting! I think flyingcloud is in same position.

Any updates from anyone else?

Thandeka, please come and join us on the Feb 2010 thread. We're very friendly, and there's loads of chat going on. You are more than welcome and it's really not too late.

I have to confess to following (but not posting) on your bricking it thread when I first fell pregnant (I have had MCs in the past). I am now 38 weeks and also going mad with waiting. And you will find lots of names you recognise on the Feb thread!

Tigresswoods · 02/02/2010 11:20

Hey Thandeka we were there together at the beginning in the TTC thread and came over to the pregnancy area together. I'm so pleased that you are now looking down the barrel of your delivery date! Hoorah!

I am 36 weeks today so am doing loads of sitting on my birthing ball and yoga and breathing and stuff.

Good luck the next few weeks, I am getting the DVD boxsets in now to pass the time!

hoops997 · 02/02/2010 11:25

thandeka, I've been following your progress and can't believe you are due Friday, the time has passed sooo quickly......hope that your LO comes on her due date

You have been an inspiration to me as I fell pg after 1 cycle after my MMC xx

Thandeka · 02/02/2010 19:20

I may sneak on watercress but I always feel a bit like the loner in the corner of a party when I join threads late on! (such a wuss!)

Hurrah Tigress- I remember you from the facebook status thread- I basically just now actually tell FB what I am thinking and feeling so bet all my pals are thoroughly sick to back teeth of this pregnancy- haha!

Awww cheers Hoops- how far along are you now?

I'll be 32 weeks on Friday, so not too far behind you

rainbowdays · 03/02/2010 15:08

Great to see folks who are near the end and no longer 4 weeks!!!! I am currently back in the bricking it stage. Since I first posted on the thread I have had 3 further miscarriages. But I am pregnanct again, and just waiting to see what happens this time.

I hope the impending births go well and that you post your birth stories here for us to read.

amyboo · 03/02/2010 16:08

Hi thandeka - I also used to lurk on your thread, although I'm not sure I ever posted. Like hoops I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant, after a mmc at the end of April. I can't believe you're nearly at the end! Where has all that time gone?

Thandeka · 03/02/2010 17:44

Oh rainbowdays that is completely uselessly evilly rubbish and I am sooooo so sorry. I will keep everything crossed for you and so admire you for posting nice things- you are a much nicer person than I would be- I would be hiding any threads with that "bloody Thandeka" ranting on again! Please do keep us posted.

Hi Thandeka!
I was due last Friday so am now 6 days late. I had a show yesterday but nothing since. Having a sweep tomorrow but will keep you posted! Really fed up now...

Rainbowdays I am so so sorry to hear about your miscarriages, and hope that this pregnancy goes all the way

rainbowdays · 04/02/2010 12:11

Wow I can hardly believe that so many of you are so close to having your babies.

Thandeka - you will have to start a thread on the antenatal thread....."4 week old baby and bricking it" for everyone to join (eventually in my case!!!), for those post-natal times of worry and joy.

Joy - hope you baby makes an appearance soon for you.

I have another scan tomorrow, I am trying desperately to hold onto a tiny bit of hope that a miracle might be happening and this pregnancy might go the right way.

Thandeka · 05/02/2010 18:54

Hi Joy27 weren't we date twins at one point then your scan moved yours forwards?

How did yours sweep go- had one this morning too- was told cervix 2cm dilated, anterior and favourable and that 50% of sweeps work within 12 hours. Well its been almost 9 hours since and apart from period pain and feeling uncomfy no real change!

Rainbowdays- really really hoping this scan today had good news. Thinking of you. xxx

Thandeka · 06/02/2010 08:20

Awesome awesome awesome news! Hurrah! Am so happy for you. I think today will be a good day then as I has a bloody show this am. Please do keep us posted rainbowdays.

Excellent news, Rainbowdays! Really happy for you.

Thandeka, yes we were date-twins at one point but then my date got moved forward a week... I'm starting to think they made a bit of an error there though!

Am now 8 days overdue and my moods are swinging wildly between calm and philosophical, and very frustrated (and a bit weepy).

Well I had my sweep 24 hours ago and nothing... well, a lot of bloody show but that's it. No contractions or anything. Apparently my cervix was 50% effaced, 1-2 cm dilated, but prosterior. Not sure what to make of it really... I guess it means something is happening, but not as much as I'd hope!

But I tell myself I am growing a nice fat baby who will come out when she is good and ready (unless she's not ready before Tuesday, in which case I'll be induced and she'll be coming out, ready or not!).

Good luck! x

Hi Thandenka I was in the group and found it a godsend after 2 mc last year x I had a girl on the 20th jan she was biorn by section and weighed 7lb 3oz x

Found out in section as well why possibly had the mc's x My fallopian tube was adhered to my bladder from previous section and the other was partially blocked, surgeon removed the adhered one in surgery. Said we are very lucky to have our baby girl and not to have anymore children as to dangerous but i feel blessed with my little miracle.

Good luck to those still to pop and just like to say that the thread really did help me through those early weeks and we all deserve our little miracles x

mummytopebs · 06/02/2010 20:19
