Anyone tried the new Mountain Buggy Swift?

Pram virgin trying to research subject and advice given by mums on this site has been fantastic so far! On an earlier thread lots of fellow dog walkers suggested the mountain urban - which I do love having seen it in a shop. However it really is big for our car (with big Irish setter already in boot!)

In the store they had a new, smaller buggy called Swift. Has anyone tried it out? How does it compare with the urban? Does it matter the wheels are smaller and lower?XC

bumping for you as I'm also considering the swift but not seen any in stock yet

I have pictures of the swift and the urban with DS2 in them www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/21617941 I liked the swift, it was compact and lovely to use.

Hi

Thanks for the pictures SparkyGothKat! I see you have both the urban and the swift. How did they compare? Isn't life great when that is the biggest decision you have to make - a swift or an Urban!!!!

EldonAve - I read some really good reviews on an aussie website for the swift and they have one on display in Burton Nurseries, Cheshire. It only came in yesterday! The 2010 model can fit a carry cot on, but not sure you really need one as the carrier lies flat anyway!

swift is narrower, the shape of the seat is different. The Urban is wider at the wheels, and the swift has smaller wheels. I didn't keep the swift long tbh as I wanted new furniture for my living room.

Hi cv
I bought an mb swift last summer and I LOVE it. The carrycot wasn't an option last august and originally I did want one but I have to say it hasn't mattered at all and it would just be another bit of baby clutter!

I was worried that the urban was just too big, especially for London buses so the swift is perfect. A joy to push and takes the rough with the smooth.

In an ideal world I'd like a slightly bigger basket underneath but I just got some happy mummy hooks to hang stuff off.

Got mine from winstanley pram world and they were really quick and efficient.

I think I need to see them to decide

of course that's the problem eldonave, trying to see them - when i got mine last summer there weren't any around because of the phil and teds' buyout. there was one shop in north london that had a new swift but the meanies refused to get it out of the box so i could look at it - they said i'd have to buy it if they opened it!

i ended up just getting it online without seeing it in the flesh cos i was sure it was what i wanted

Just wondering if anyone has been able to compare the swift and urban carrycots?
