Hey everyone, i'm just over 14 weeks and feel so awful! Sickness is still really bad and now headaches have started. Called midwife out today as i was worried she checked bp and urine which were all fine and we heard the heartbeat which was amazing!! Now i know that on paper nothing is wrong i feel less worried but i just wondered if anyone else felt rough in the second trimester? My friend says she felt better at 16 weeks so am hoping that's true, can anyone else give me any hope that this does all clear? I'm so happy to be pregnant 3rd go as mc twice before and no children so i really don't want to sound like i'm not happy to be pregnant just can't help feeling so low and so drained. Anyone in same boat....

i felt sick as a dog until i was 6 months pg with my first.

puking 5-6 times a day, so exhausted i couldn't get off the sofa and blinding headaches.

then one day i woke up feeling fine.

every pg is different though, my mum was sick the whole 9 months with all 4 of her pregnancies

hope you feel better soon!

Both my pregnancies I felt rotten until week 18 and then started to feel better.

Can your mum remember what she was like? As it's probably a good bet you'll be similar to her. Hoping you haven't lost your mum or been adopted or something. As if that is the case, I do apologise! I don't mean to offend

Hope you feel better soon x

Completely normal but feel for you, I do remember feeling totally sledgehammered at the beginnning!

Congrats though, lovely to hear the heartbeat

Completely normal. I am having a good day today (am 12 ish weeks) and have only been sick three times .

A lot of people find it is closer to 16 weeks that they feel better - the fog lifts a bit - but unfortunately some people are worse for longer.

As for asking your mum - maybe for some - my mum never even felt sick with me yet I have had hyperemesis twice and this time just bad sickness!

teaandcakeplease · 31/01/2010 20:58

LOL - my mum was given something to not feel sick in her early pregnancy's back in the day with me and my brothers so I could never compare to her either. As she never felt sick at all

I was sick at least 3 times a day with my first pregnancy until week 18. Not so bad with second pregnancy. I feel for you ladies though, as it's dreadful feeling this rotten, really hope you start to feel better soon Peppa and Buckler x
