Am 30 weeks pg. Have suffered from indigestion and nausea throughout pregnancy ususally controlled by gaviscon or similar.
The last week I have totally lost my appetite and when went to midwife yesterday she says I have 2 + ketones in my urine. I know why this is, because I just have no interest in food.
I don't want to harm baby buy have been sick this morning, feel like shit and still can't face any breakfast. I have absolutely no interest in food at all (not like me at all) and can't even think of a single thing I would like to eat in the world just now.
Anyone else with similar experience? I know I have to eat something but just can't even face it

are you taking multivitamins...you could take those to try and get some nutrition...to be honest the baby will take what it needs and leave you wanting. Stay hydrated and try to eat basic carbs like dry toast. I found ritz crackers good. If you do feel like eating anything make sure you get hold of it and eat straight away. i used to suck glucose tablets as well. a little bit of food will help the nausea, you feel nauseous when you have low blood sugar.

I've hardly felt like eating too - which is a true novelty for a compulsive eater. Not even chocolate is even vaguely interesting. I lost just shy of 2 stone in the first four months of pregnancy - but as I was rather overweight beforehand, no-one seems that bothered. I appear to have stayed the same for the past month so that's something. As for eating, I still don't really feel iike it. I'm not as bad as I was in the first trimester when even seeing a food advert was physically repellent - but there are foods I look at and know I simply don't want (e.g. brocolli - which was ok before getting pregnany). I sometimes have to literally force myself to have toast. I know eating makes me feel better - but if I didn't have a little one on board, then I know I wouldn't bother at all.

Just an idea but have you tried something like Complan? It contains a range of vitamins and about 300cals per mug. If I'm off my food I sometimes have some and often find that my appetite returns when the pressure's off eating. Hope you regain yours soon.

be careful of multi vitamins though, you have to avoid taking vitamin A (i think) because it can harm baba.
just keep drinking, add a bit of honey to peppermint tea or redbush and don't worry too much.
