Am due today but not a twinge or sign in sight!

The title says it all really.
This is my 3rd DC so kinda know what to look out for but my previous 2 were born before their due date and was hoping this one would be the same.

Ive had the usual BH but nothing else at all.

Please tell me it doesnt matter that i havnt had all the signs and that labour CAN begin without the twinges etc

Doesn't matter at all. With dc3 I had a midwife appt on my due date and came away feeling rather depressed having discussed our options if I went way overdue. Like you, I had no indication that anything was about to get moving. That evening, about 7pm, I had my first contraction and ds2 appeared before midnight. Good luck!

I was in hospital with high blood pressure and released on the tuesday afetrnoon with them saying "nothing is going to happen anytime soon, the baby isn't even fully engaged" and woke up the next morning to my waters breaking and going into labour later that day! i had no BH or anyting before hand.

hi i was like you last week! on dc3!
was on here constanly because had a few bh but nothing else then had a show on the 20th and had mw appt " oh head not engaged so, off i went home just getting on all day had blood traces, had a bath later on the nite still no pain just blood traces! fell asleep to wake up about 2.30am - toilet break then as passing saw that it had blood in it, Opps wots happenin
asked my DH for advice "call MW" he said (half way downstairs, pulling on his clothes and picking up my bags!) called about 3am and was told due to blood to go in onway still no pain and wasnt thinking anything off it anyway few hours passed slight pains came and then all go! mw examined me and opppssss there goes my waters on the bed so off i went to labour ward and 45 mins and 3 pushes - out poped mr man!
didnt even wake up dc at home they had time to go school knowing there bro was here!

with DS (2nd) BH got more intense in couple of days before but honestly i wasn't sure it really was it (and had been having runs of BH for weeks) until around 5pm (contractions didn't stop when i rested and had a show) and he was born at midnight.

I am due today as well!!! My dd was 2 days early so I am hating it!

I have been bh's on and off for a few weeks. No show or anything else though.

For some reason today I am having a major wobble about giving birth and am wanting the baby to stay for a while so I can get over it!

The one thing that is really annoying me is the texts that I keep getting asking 'is the baby on its way yet?' - I am ignoring them now!!

I was due last Sunday and it is now driving me mad. DD was born on her due date so hoped this little bugger would be the same.
Having sweep on Sunday (not looking forward to it) and they will induce Thursday. I have told baby "if it does not show before Sunday someone is going to pull it out and it wont like it" but i dont think its listening!!!!

Why oh why are the days so long and every time you go to slepp you think "oh tonight will be the night!!!"

To make things worse my friend who was due today had her little boy last night!!! im sure she enjoyed texting early this morning to tell me

Me too... First baby. Not a twinge from down below for me either. I've spent the day convinced that I'm going to go waaay overdue.
People keep asking me if I'm any closer, adn I'm like HOW AM I SUPPOESD TO KNOW?! Gah.

Hopefully all of us due today (or last week, poor you woodhj!) will soon go into labour...

Yup, I'm due today as well with my first and nothing happening.

I looked at boyfriend earlier and just thought, 'I don't like you much right now because I'm feeling like crap and it's only fair you should too.'

I am so ready for this baby!

with my ds2 i had no twinges nothing, was 4 days over spend the day very busy dropping my DS1 off for his easter holidays with GPS.

got home late had dinner felt nothing normal as u can be at 40+ weeks, went to bed at 10pm as usual fell asleep woke up to use loo at midnight felt a sharp pain and got cx on and off until ds2 arrived at lunchtime.
