Aw bless you! You shouldnt have to wait until after Sept though, thats 9months away! If you were bout 4months preg at the wedding you'd be over the first trimester blues of worrying about scan, hopefully all the morning sickness and have a small enough bump not to look huge in a bridesmaid's dress! I say try around May!

I agree with first1 - if you really want a baby why not just start trying and leave it in the lap of the gods? waiting til after september is ages and ages and you never know how long it might take.

I went to loads of weddings while I was pregnant and was surprised by how much fun I had. people will also shower you with extra special compliments if you're a pregnant bridesmanid

This may be a non-issue, but I was ttc when I knew I was due to be a bridesmaid at my best friend's wedding. It made ordering a dress slightly more difficult, knowing I might have a bump by then. I had to tell my friend I was ttc, she felt she had to tell the shop assistants.. We went for a style that was looser around the stomach, and got it in the next size up, then took it in where necessary nearer the time. It wasn't a huge deal and I wouldn't let it put you off, but something to think about?

Clarebear This was me last January!!! We had decided to start trying after our anniversary in September 09 so we could enjoy our barcelona trip. Am now 14 weeks pregnant

It's soooo worth it, but that said, I agree with First1, it wouldn't be so bad to be 3-4 months pg, and then you could surprise your friend with 'special news' as well. Cos by that time you would have had the scan and maybe starting to tell people
