Hi, has any one taken these during yr pregnancy n at this strength not sure if should ave been given 250mg?? Any advice please =) xxx

Yes, I have had this dosage - three 500mg pills a day for a week, i think. Amoxicillin is safe to use in pregnancy.

They are fine this pregnancy (currently 26 weeks) i've had two doses of 500mg of Amoxicillin!

Yes, had to take those for two weeks in total before christmas for a chest infection, also at 30+ weeks. 500mg more likely to work than 250 (latter usually a waste of time imo). Amox definitely safe in pregnancy but can take a while to work (that's why I ended up with two weeks rather than one, but GP preferred to not prescribe anything else)

Yes i was on the same dosage for a uti.

Just finished a 500mg week long course for a chest infection (I'm asthmatic and diabetic). Sure they wouldn't be prescribed if they weren't fine.

in similar situation as baby giraffe had amox for 15 days 250mg 3 times a day. I'll be back at the doc's next wk I feel still have inflamed bloody- literally sinus' hope you feel better soon.

I am 34 weeks tomorrow and am on the third day of a third lot of antibiotics in 2 months, another lot of amoxicillin 500mg. Had the same at tail end of Dec followed by a short course of co-amoxiclav.

I have also been prescribed Ventolin and Beconase

I have been rather poorly but on the mend now than god have never been sicker than I have been this pregnancy.

Amoxicillin 500mg is safe but at the same time you must consult your doctor to have it during pregnancy. Certain drugs will be tested during pregnancy and some not. So you must confirm with Doctor.
