Red eyes and breathlessness

Red eyes and breathlessness, doesn't sound too good when I type it, and it isn't great! Bit of a trivial thread/question but I have just done a short presentation at work and my breathing / speaking was awful. The only thing which carried me was that I had done loads of prep and I had a good handout so I think I drove home the main points but my voice was terrible, it was like I couldn't catch my breath or work out where in the sentences to breathe. In addition I had to walk to the meeting room from outside and being out in the cold made my eyes water and I couldn't get rid of the bloodshot look so not sure that looked too great. Now admittedly I am 24 weeks pregnant (my suit covers this up a bit so not sure how much the audience were aware) and I didn't have the best night's sleep last night. But is this just me making an excuse for not being a very good public speaker (I'm not the best but today was not good as far as my tone of voice was concerned) or is it likely to be linked / influenced by being pregnant?

breathlessness can be a sign of anemia. you should get checked over by your midwife

Are you also feeling totally exhausted all the time?

Best to book yourself in for a blood test and start on the floradix/spatone (Boots) asap... it takes ages to get enough iron into your system if you are anemic and if you arent it doesnt do you any harm to supplement your intake.

I'm anemmic... now 29 weeks but it started around 24/25 and find myself panting my way through meetings if i have to say anything more than yes or no..

good luck
