Kicking all night!

I am being kicked all night and kept awake by my baby's movements. I am only 25 wks but the kicks already feel so strong. I am not a great sleeper as it is... but I now feel so shattered, which makes work so hard. I know it's training for the future but does anyone have any tips on quieting baby down or changing baby's sleeping patterns in utero!?

In my experience, the movements should calm down a bit as the baby gets bigger and runs out of space. I found that after 28 weeks or so the flying kicks and acrobatics turned to more twists and turns, and there's less room for "momentum" so they tend to be gentler. It's normal for the baby to be active at night though, as when you're busy during the day your own movements lull them to sleep, and then when you lie down they wake up. Little sods

Um sorry to disappoint but I am 38 weeks now and OUCH the kickings and prods I get sometimes! But I think this is another big/strong one, so maybe yours will calm down later... I haven't found anything that really works to change the timings or make it gentler, mine always seems most active in the evenings and just after I've gone to bed. Think the worst is when it stretches its legs out and pushes...

Sorry ASAPWW, I guess it varies! Fingers crossed you get a lazy baby like mine
