Did you wash baby blankets?

Is everyone washing their baby blankets? I feel I should. Some of them say 30 degrees, others 40 but they do seem quite delicate to me and I'd hate to spoil them. Should I handwash?

yes, of course - have you had your baby yet? (just confused as this is in pregnancy, are you talking about washing them in advacne?)
I washed them at 40 or 60 depending on how mucky I felt they were, but I have to admit the cream ones are now creamy/grey and they aren't as soft as they were at the beginning
My opinion is if it goes anywhere near my baby it needs to be able to be washed at 60 if necessary! If it can't then keep it as an heirloom

Oops, sorry, I didn't make that clear - I'm washing things in advance - baby not quite here yet
