Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

oh i wouldn't pay too much heed from growth scans, they're notoriously unreliable!!!

Bleatblurt · 27/01/2010 18:46

My DS1 was estimated at 7lbs 9oz when I was only 31 weeks! He appeared at 38 weeks weighing 10lb 8oz. But they get it wrong as often as they get it right.

IZDI · 27/01/2010 18:48

thank God coz at this rate he will be 9lbs + when he comes. thanks

Don't panic. Big babies are lovely and gorgeous and cuddly. Oh and growth scans are not that accurate! Although having said that they got it right my DS1!

agree that big babies are lovely
mine have been 9lb 1, 9lb 5 and 9lb 11. all came out ok and were chubby and cuddle and gorgeous

I was predicted a 9lb+ baby. He was 7lb 10oz.

My baby was big too and i found she was a great feeder and sleeper, midwife said that bigger babies often were! There is always a silver lining lol! Don't stress about it not much you can do about it so just relax and enjoy the next 6 weeks if thats possible.

Good luck x

I had a 9 pounder and I am 5 foot 3, and usually a size 6 - 8!!!! None of the midwives believed my baby would be this big so it was a bit of a shock when this large child was plonked on my stomach following the birth!!! Second time round, we were all prepared for another huge one, but got a 6 pound 9 tiddler instead!!!.....Pregnant with number 3 now, and have NO idea what to expect!!!

IZDI · 28/01/2010 18:54

thanks for the advice. my first was 7lbs 13.50z so i shouldn't really expect anything smaller, its just the horror stories that go with pushing out big babies. i'm sure i'll be ok hmm
