How Likely to Go Into Early Labour AND Have A Big baby?

I'd be interested to hear the experience of others.

I have three DC and am pregnant with DC4. DC1 was born at term and weighed 9lbs, DC2 was born at 38 weeks and weighed 10lb and DC3 was born at 37 weeks and was 6lb 14 1/2 oz, which altough not massive is pretty big for a baby with Downs (who normally have lower birth weights) and born at 37 weeks.

Now, I have always breezed through my pregnancies, barring pretty dreadful morning sickness, but I appear to have turned into a wreck this time. I know after 37 weeks is classes at 'term' anyway really, but is this baby likely to come 'early' and be big too?

What experience have others had?

I have one child and he was born at 34 weeks - was in neonatal for a few weeks afterwards before being allowed home.

He was 5pounds 13ounces, which apparently was big for a 34weeker. Certainly you get term babies born around that weight, which is considered normal.

They had told me prior to having him, that I would be having a good 10pounder at term.

So, I guess that I would say that, Yes it is possible but that's only my opinion. Good Luck!
