Am really hoping that I am just being paranoid, and could do with some advice. Yesterday and today I have had a nagging pain quite low down on my right hand side. Its not "severe", only about 4 out of 10 pain-wise, but its there all the time when I move about, and gets worse if I am going down stairs. When I'm sitting down there is no pain at all.
I haven't got any bleeding, thank god, but the fact that the position of the pain is so specific is worrying me.
I know I should probably go to the EPU after work, but Im so scared in case its about to all go wrong
Did anyone else have symptoms like this and their pregnancy turned out fine?

Pixie, I am so pleased for you and as butadream has already said - I hope the pain lessens soon.

hey pixie i went through the same as you when pregnant with dd. thought i was suffering from an eptopic pregnancy. the pain in my side was so unbearable i eneded up in A&E at hospital. they too did a vaginal scan which showed everything was ok. rather embarassingly it turns out i was severely constipated, something i had never been before! it happened again when pregnant with ds, for some reason early pregnancy made me very constipated! felt rather silly walking out carrying a giant tub of lactulose after the fuss they made over me...any chance it could be that?? just a thought!

i had the same pain at 5 weeks too, ended up in a+e convinced it was an ectopic but it wasn't. It is quite typical to have stretching pains, which was certainly my case even tho i'd been worried stiff.

It did pass in a few days, am sure it will pass for you too, you'll see.

And you have had the best possible news you could expect! So if/when the pain gets bad, just think how much worse it could have all been!

Good luck!

I am so pleased it is not ectopic. I hope the pain eases and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy, hope it is smooth less painful as it is now as time goes on.

so glad to hear things went ok

Undercovamutha · 28/01/2010 20:37

I had a pain that sounds like yours and went on to have a m/c.
BUT then I got pregnant again, had exactly the same pain (panicked!), but everything was fine. DD is now 3.5yo and perfect!

I can't help thinking that the pain was just my body stretching, and completely unrelated to the m/c.

Its great that you have had good news. Try to remain positive - you've got through the first hurdle of worrying. Only about 100 more worries to go in the next 8m! Good luck!
