ladies, as the title suggests- i hate it. I wont really let dp near my bump because of the line of hair down from tummy button. Had it for years- pcos i normally bleach it. It gives me the best results. Can still bleach it? Google has given me mixed views. I am really thinking of a boots trip in the morning. My confidence is suffering because of this

I bleached mine! With interesting blonde-hairs-on-brown-stripe results but better than black fur. And ds now a very strapping healthy boy with no visible side effects. Don't believe half of what you find on google. Go for it and feel good about yourself

At least it's winter at the mo so there's less worry about other's seeing!

IBlameThePMT · 24/01/2010 20:31

I waxed mine. No chemicals, just a bit of ouch factor!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 24/01/2010 20:33

I don't fancy the ouch factor - bad enough on the bikini line at the mo!

I was hoping someone would say it's ok...I'm going on holiday in May (will be 32 wks) and would like to give the belly an airing but not make people run away screaming from the she-wolf, so this is good news

thislittlesisterlola · 24/01/2010 20:38

very true mrsm though i would like to look at bump with pride and not place my hand in the furry area

Waxing = pain + annoying regrowth which I then had to bleach anyway. Bikini line I have never tried to bleach though

thislittlesisterlola · 24/01/2010 20:43

im with you wickedwitch there is plenty of ouch factor to come imo.

Tummy waxing is nowhere near as painful as bikini line! Re-growth is a pain admittedly, but if you want it smooth and clear specifically for a holiday then that isnt an issue. I have always waxed my tummy myself. Bikini line - no way! I need someone to do it for me!

I'm delighted to hear that I'm not alone in being furry. I have my first scan tomorrow and was wondering about what to do about the furry line on my belly. I was considering saying something to the sonographer before hand, along the lines of 'I've got a furry belly button please don't be alarmed'.
