I dont know what Im having, just that it's arriving is roughly in 6 weeks and I still havent got any boy names lined up! (girls we have picked). Everyone is saying Im having a boy as I am carrying so differently to my first who was a girl.

Anyway... i wanted to know what peoples opinions were on the name Apollo? I know its really out there... and my DH mentioned it when we were picking names for our first and i was like are you crazy?! but its come round again and i dont know if its because he's mentioned it so many times but i actually really like it now, to the point where i am seriously considering it! And now hes getting nervous because he doesnt think we're brave enough to go for a name like that.

We havent got any other boys names, i find them all too boring.

Would be interested to see what people's reactions were to the name, and also if you have any boy name suggestions.

Here's the place for suggestions, opinions and inspiration!

IMO Apollo's nice, but your lad would probably have to get used to being nn'd Polly...

Apollo a bit too out there for me. I think you need to be prepared for raised eyebrows.

Hate it, sorry. Your son would have the mick taken out of him. I really don't get this thing where people have to give their children such unusual names. My DS has quite a common name, but its not unusual and thats what I would prefer.

Each to their own though. I just think about the child in the future.

My personal fave is Milo

It took a while to convince DH but it suits our DS beautifully and i like it for a baby, teen and grown up.

My OH loves the name Apollo for a boy too! How weird, must be a bloke thing!
