Hello, everyone!
I believe that there is still a great deal of unawareness of the Horrors of Hyperemesis.
I came on a support thread for woman with it on a rival site (so I'd better not name it!) and was so appalled at the treatment that unfortunately so many of the women had received from the general public, employers and medical people (whom you would expect to know better) that I swore to raise awareness.
Though I had morning sickness, not Hyperemesis myself in pregnancy, I did have awful migraines for two days out of seven four fourteen weeks, accompanied by violent vomiting. (sad)
This was as nothing to what women with Hyperemesis have to endure,(shock) but it did predispose me have some idea of their sufferings, and I have sworn to help raise awareness of the awful, isolating nature of the condition.
I have started a blog on Wordpress.com 'The Horrors of Hyperemesis'. Wordpress.com.The Horrors of Hyperemesis.
I know that there are several, but it seems to me that the more publicity the topic receives, the better.
What do people think? I'd love some contributions.
