Kicking like mad at 39 weeks!

I thought there was supposed to be a bit less movement towards the end! I couldnt sleep for ages last night as the baby was kicking and wriggling like mad, and she was like this again this morning. Anyone else still gettting so much movement this late on? My baby is quite small for dates, so maybe she still has lots of room to move. Not sure if this will have any impact on when she arrives?

Hey MoragG I'm 38 weeks and my LO is still very active. Not so much kicking as constant wriggling and squirming! Plenty of movement is a good thing I'm told

Hi,

Im 39 wks tomorrow and baby is still kicking and moving around loads!

I never had this with my previous 2DC so maybe i just have more room in there!

At least we're not worrying that they are not moving enough.

Good Luck

Thanks both! You are right yummychoccycake - seems we worry no matter what happens!

I'm 38 weeks plus and the baby is still pretty lively as was my DS at this sort of gestation. DS was a kicker and this one is a real wiggler!

It is important to say though that if there any real changes in behaviour you should get thee down to the hospital asap - whether the changes are more movement or less.
