wanting your cleaner to scrub the kitchen floor probably doesn't count as nesting does it?!

Haha!

Am starting to look for signs of labour as almost 38 weeks - head fully engaged and cervix 1cm dilated (no idea if I will have a show as dilated cervix may mean its gone already?).

I really want to be in a nesting mood but so far my nesting has consisted of thinking- hmm will leave cleaner to do it. I don't think that is quite what mother nature intended now is it!

Bah! I wish I could "fake nest" though as at least the flat would be in some sort of fit state for our imminent arrival!

Lol!

I fake nested. No inclination but tried rearranging cupboards to "make it happen". Nothing.

Then I got a very insistent urge for DH to put the hoover over and deep clean kitchen and bathroom and wash floors. DS arrived about 20 hours later

hmm well I just thought about sorting all the stuff in the bathroom and under the bed- so that is an improvement...... just need to translate it into action!

PMSL!!!

I keep thinking about nesting! A few times I have actually done something but not extreme nesting like I did with dd.

I wonder if every woman does 'nest' or if its just something a man made up to make us clean

littleomar · 20/01/2010 14:51

it isn't made up. i HAD to clean the kitchen floor at 6am and getting someone to do it for me didn't cross my mind. waters broke 12 hours later.

waiting for the same thing to happen again. any time now would be good, thanks, baby.

Genius topic heading! Scrub, hireling, SCRUB!

Thandeka · 22/01/2010 15:37

oooh I think nesting may have started! I spent an hour under the bed this morning sorting it all out. Then I sorted out the cupboards under the stairs- and the spare bedroom- am on a total roll.

(still plan on getting the cleaner to hoover under the beds though as I just can't quite face it- do you think that doesn't then count as proper nesting!?)

I think my DH is doing all my nesting at the moment. I seem to be spending much more time on MN and generally being a lazy arse.

Just resting, while I still can!!
