Hi all,

First pregnancy, just wondering if this is normal. Baby very wriggly, 3/5 engaged - had antenatal appointment yesterday and all well. Today I feel like a cowboy without a horse... very sore and achey top of thighs. Also have lots of pressure in groin area and in my bottom - extremely uncomfortable and not sure where to put myself. Also feel quite sick. Belly often quite tight, but not any pain.

Is this normal?

Thanks x

It sounds promising.. I spent the end of my last pregnancy hoping for as impressive a list of symptoms as that (didn't happen and I was induced, but that's another story). Whatever happens though, make sure you get lots of rest now. If labour is imminent you'll need it and if it isn't you'll still need it!

One of my friends calls it the bank of sleep: make your deposits now as there will be many withdrawals in the weeks to come!

Pressure for me indicated 9cm. Personally I'd get checked out - do you feel like you need a poo?

Actually coming to think of it, yes, pressure meant it was all about to happen. I did feel more pressure towards the end of pregnancy too though. First time round I didn't realise I was pushing (did realise I was in labour though!) until I reached down and caught my baby. So maybe I'm not the best person to be giving advice!
