Oh for heavens sake I'm going backwards

At my 34 week check up baby was 3/5 engaged. At 37 weeks it was 2/5 engaged and at my 38 weeker today it was "brim."

Is this meaningful in any way or am I getting fed up for no reason?

2nd baby. I had my heart set on a VBAC and am starting to worry that I will not go into spontaneous labour

It isnt meaningful at all. With subsquent babies they can engage and disengage in the last few weeks and often dont engage at all until your actually in labour. This will have no bearing on you going into spontaneous labour. I promise you.

Anyway - if baby was 3/5 engaged then 3/5 were palpable, then 2/5 engaged means 2/5 palpable therefore baby was engaging further and further down ifykwim?

Not backwards! Only brim was felt.

Ooooooh I may have misunderstood today. I knew that engagement was written in reverse so when I say I was 3/5 engaged I had 2/5 written on my notes so I did go backwards in that time but when she wrote "brim" today I didn't think.

This has cheered me up - thank you! It's funny because my heartburn was a lot better last night and that only usually happens when the baby decides to bob down a bit!
