That you are pregnant?

After finding out just over a week ago I am obviously really happy.

I just keep forgetting, it hasn't even registered yet!

I booked myself to give blood on the 29th completely forgetting I am pregnant.

The day after I got my BFP I went out in the morning for a cigarette and didn't remember about the pregnancy until I got half way down the cigarette. (Haven't smoked since)

A couple day's after, I started drinking some wine with a meal until someone reminded me.

How long will this last? Do I need to write it on my hand or something to remind myself until it finally registers in my brain?

I just feel so awful.

I still forget now sometimes and I'm 31 weeks! I wake up in the morning genuinely surprised that I have a massive bump! It does become more real though as you go on... and obviously the more symptoms and niggles you get the less easy it is to forget! Congratulations BTW! x

Don't feel guilty! Congratulations!
Well done for not smoking - that's the main thing. Half a cigarette isn't going to harm your baby but make sure you don't touch another one!

Likewise - although the guidance is not to drink alcohol at all, it's remotely unlikely that an occasional lapse of one glass would do any harm.

When I was pg (nearly 17 years ago now) the guidance was no alcohol the first 12 weeks then no more than 2 units a day after that. So I happily went back to an occasional glass of wine or G&T without feeling guilty!

You're lucky you can forget that you're pg - hope that continues and you don't get morning sickness. I didn't so I was fortunate - some people really suffer - yuk!

I still forget now.. 32+3 Although having hyperemesis does make it a bit easier to remember!
