Brown/red discharge at 11 weeks?

With my first pregnancy I had a missed miscarriage at 14 weeks (lost baby at 10 weeks but didn't find out until scan at 14 weeks). Then with second pregnancy all was well and I have a 2 year old DD.

I'm now 11 weeks pregnant and have just had a small amount of reddish/brown discharge - has anyone else experienced this?

Am worried it might be a sign of miscarriage.

I bled at 13 weeks with my DD. It was incredibly stressful as I had just "announced" to all and sundry that I was expecting and then I found some discharge which then turned into a bleed. It tailed off pretty quickly but it is something that causes worry.

I managed to get a scan at the early pregnancy unit for reassurance and they saw a perfectly healthy baby growing. Can you try and arrange this?

If the discharge/bleeding continues you can always go to A&E and they will refer you.

Hope all works out.

Contact your MW and she will arrange for a scan at EPU.
I have experienced this in a pregnancy at a similar time and all was well but it was very worrying until I knew it was ok.

I had a similar experience to allstarprincess on and off between 10 and 12 weeks. Very worrying but turned out to be all fine. A scan at an early pregnancy unit was very reassuring to me too. You should be able to arrange one through your GP.

Its hard to get enough rest with a 2 year old running around. Do you have anyone to help for a couple of days so you can put your feet up?

Thank you. I will phone my midwife in the morning and try and get a scan. Hoping it's nothing.
