Stomach aches and pains - help!

For the past few days I've been getting aches and pains in my lower stomach. Its aching like period pain but then there is occasional sharp pains. My baby was really active at the beginning of the week but he's really quietened down. He still kicks occasionally.
I'm not constipated (sorry if tmi) or bleeding or anything like that. Heard the baby's heartbeat on Thurs and it was fine. Just feeling fairly uncomfortable. Oh and I'm 25wks with my first.

I'm probably worrying a little unnecessarily but would really appreciate any suggestions or advice.

I would ring your midwife if you are worried.

However, aches and pains are perfectly normal in pregnancy - period pain type aches are normal and so are sharp pains. I used to get pains like a stitch or like something was stretching. If you think about it, your uterus was tiny and it is basically being slowly stretched to the size of a baby - its going to ache a bit! I am on DC3 and only 10 weeks but have had a lot of aches and pains but recognise them as the same as before.

If you have any regular pains which come or go, bad back ache, bleeding etc then ring your midwife straight away. As in anything if you are worried then ring her - better to be safe.

Jayfer personally I would be inclined to ring the widwife about reduced movement from the baby?

shirl hard to say - as peppapig says, odd stretchy pains are completely normal and mine did come and go.
