Bump keeps making loud cracking noises... normal???

Hi all.

I'm 34+3 and my bump has been making loud cracking noises when the baby moves for some time. This happened with my DS, too, so I wasn't bothered at first.

But now it's sounding like... you know those really annoying people who crack their necks really loudly? Or when you bend down and your knees make a massive crack? It's louder than when you crack your fingers. Unless you did all ten at once.

If that makes sense.

It's usually when she sticks a limb out- we'll see a foot shape or an elbow shape or whatever.

Is it normal?

Is it the baby or is it me as I have bad SPD?

I came online to ask the same question! I'm 36+1 and have had a clicking bump for a few weeks. I don't have SPD and it happens when bump is moving but I am not. Don't know whethes it is normal- hope someone can tell us!

Thank you! That makes sense- I knew that they check newborns for clunky hips, but I didn't know that some people hear it before baby arrives. Obv. It may not be this in every case, but I'll mention it to my midwife to see what she thinks.
