My breasts aren't tender. Should they be?

I'm 40wks+ and planning on breast feeding. I had some breast tenderness at the start of the pregnancy but nothing since. They've got bigger (were quite big to start with) and I haven't had anything leak out yet.

Any ideas if this could mean anything regarding me not being able to breast feed?

It all sounds normal to me - I'm big-boobed and didn't leak at all while pregnant. I was fine with breastfeeding. If you are worried at all about breastfeeding, why not try to find the numbers of a local breastfeeding counsellor or clinic so you know where to get support if you need it?

I doubt it means anything to be honest, not everyone gets every symptom of pregnancy (thank god) I'm sure you'll be fine. Leaking in pregnancy has no bearing on how well or when your milk comes in anyway. Good luck with the birth, and bf!!

perfectly normal. mine were really tender during first trimester but not at all now (33 wks). I also haven;t leaked and didn't during my last pregnancy either - it didn't affect me bfing DD.

My boobs felt normal last time until the day my milk came in, 4 days after giving birth.

Don't worry I'm sure it's fine.

I didn't leak at all with DS and I breastfed him for 13 months. Had stacks of breastpads but never had to use them - this time around I'm like a fountain .

Don't worry. It's not unusual to have no leakage before baby is born and it will have absolutely no bearing on your ability to breastfeed (and remember, for the first few days you will only be producing tiny amounts of colostrum rather than vast amounts of milk)
